AIL organised its annual national seminar on 29 September, 2018. The theme for this years seminar was "Media and Changing Society: Dilemmas and Challenges." The Chief Guest for the seminar was Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.D Anand, Former Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court, and the Keynote Speaker was Dr Nishtha Jaswal, Professor, Dept of Laws, Punjab University, Chandigarh. Several delegates presented their research and valuable insights throughout the course of the event, in the various technical sessions. Behind the curtains were Dr. Kulpreet Kaur - the faculty coordinator, Mr. Adhiraj Bhandari and Ms. Harshita Chaarag - the student coordinators, faculty members, students volunteers and the management and technical staff who put in tireless efforts for pulling off a successful seminar.

On 31st August, 2018 AIL hosted a freshers' party for the new members of AIL- the batch of 2023. The event is organised to welcome the first years, it is on this day that they truly become a part of the family. The event was organised by the batch of 2022 who did an exemplary job at it. It was an evening full of shimmering lights, games, dance and highly excited and energised students. Paloma Gupta and Prabhav Pandey were crowned Miss and Mister Freshers respectively.
