- INTRA INSTITUTE QUIZ COMPETITION 2018
Lex Quizzerables, the Quiz Club of the Institute,
today conducted its annual edition of Quiz Competition, Virtuoso.
Quizzes, more often than not, challenge our minds to
focus and spontaneously respond back to the question at hand. It creates an
ambience, where people of all age groups come together, and compete to win the
coveted title.
The Quiz was conducted in two stages, the Preliminary
Round, which saw the participation of the entire college. The Top Scoring 16
students, qualified to the semi-final rounds which were subsequently held in
the Multi-purpose Hall (MPH). The Semi-Finalists were grouped into eight teams,
two members each. The Semi-Finals was just a mere glimpse of the spectacle of
questions that awaited the participants who further qualified to the Final
Round.
The following set of teams made it to the Final
Round(s):
- · Ankit & Sourav – III Year
- · Omvir (II Year) & Ajit (III Year)
- · Devrat (I Year) & Rajendra (II Year)
- · Akash (I Year) & Gaurav Redhal (III Year)
The Competition had a variety of rounds, from
Audio-Visual to Multiple Choice Questions, and a dedicated round for the
excited audience. Quiz Master for the day, Dr. Ajaymeet Chander, made the
competition, a real success. The diversity of the questions ensured that the
minds of the participants were grilled on various fields of knowledge. Not to
forget the members of the Quiz Club, Shantanu Singh (II Year) & Shashank
Mishra (II Year), without whose efforts, the competition couldn’t have been
organised in a fashionable manner.
The Final Round was judged by Dr. Amrita Rathi &
Ms. Dipinder, who were assisted by the Dispute Resolution Committee consisting
of Mrs Amita Sharma, Dr. Bajirao Rajawade & Ms. Ekjyot Kaur whose decision
was final and binding in case of any conflict.
All the four teams put up a great show, the spirit of
competitiveness was commendable as there had to be a Tie-Breaker Round for the
Runner’s up position. Team comprising of Ankit & Sourav, were adjudged as
winners of the competition and awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2500/- followed by
Runner’s Up, Omvir & Ajit bagging a cash prize of 1500/-.
Not to forget the enthusiastic audience, without whose
participation the competition wouldn’t have been possible, as they kept the
participants on their toes, by answering the passed on questions. Dr. Tejinder
Kaur, Principal, Army Institute of Law was also present to witness the rounds
at the MPH. She congratulated the teams and handed over the prize money to the
winners and the runners up.
