On 3rd January, 2020 our esteemed guest Prof. (Dr.) Virender Kumar, Former Director of Judicial Academy Chandigarh, delivered a lecture on the topic 'Socio-Religious Reforms through Judicial Intervention: A Critique of Sabrimala Judgement' . He discussed the Sabrimala Judgement with the students and acquainted them with different possible interpretations of Article 25. Overall it was an informative and enlightening lecture for all.

On 21st November, 2019 our esteemed guest Mr. Harman Singh Sidhu, Chairman, ArriveSafe NGO at sector 21, Chandigarh, delivered a lecture on the topic of ' The Role of Road Safety in Nation Building' . He shared his views with the aim to make students aware of road safety and also to make them acquaint with the latest Motor Vehicle Amendment Act, 2019. It was an informative lecture as it enlightened the students with higher penalties of Motor Vehicle Act.

OBSERVANCE OF VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK AT AIL, MOHALI (INDIA) An intra -institute debate competition was conducted  at AIL on 24th October on the topic- ‘India will be corruption free one day’ in order to observe the vigilance awareness week. The competition saw an overwhelming response by the participants and made the audience also ponder over being vigilant about the malady of corruption which has infested India.

OBSERVANCE OF BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SARDAR VALLABH BHAI PATEL AS RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS AT AIL,MOHALI (INDIA) The staff and students of  Army Institute of Law,Mohali observed the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 24th October’2019  due to the forthcoming Diwali breakby pledging their dedication to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation as visualized by Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.

Army Institute of Law organised its annual national seminar on 12th October, 2019. The theme for this years seminar was "Dynamics of Gender Equations in the 21st Century: Socio-Legal perspectives." The Chief Guest for the seminar was Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajeev Bhalla, Former Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court, and the Keynote Speaker was Advocate Palika Monga Deputy Advocate General, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh. Several delegates presented their research papers and valuable insights on distinct areas of Gender Equations throughout the course of the event, in the various technical sessions. Behind the curtains were Mrs. Amrita rathi - the faculty coordinator, Mr. Omvir and Mr. Yuvraj - the student coordinators, faculty members, students volunteers and the management and technical staff who put in tireless efforts for pulling off a successful seminar.

Decoding the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 by Advocate Siddharth Srivastava from Link Legal and holds 11 years of experience in hand. The session was conducted in the multi-purpose hall wherein the entire AIL ménage gathered to gather knowledge about the ins-and-outs of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Initiating with the causes of the passed legislation, The speaker went on to talk about the outcomes that the Act would have on the Indian Economy and the target group: individuals, industries, corporations. Augmenting his presentation with plethora of graphs and data, The speaker succeeded at giving a comprehensive understanding of the field to the budding lawyers. All in all, both the sessions was greatly enlightening and the students appreciated the same.

On 6th September, 2019 AIL hosted a freshers' party for the new members of AIL- the batch of 2024. The event is organised to welcome the first years, it is on this day that they truly become a part of the AIL family. The event was organised by the batch of 2023 who did an exemplary job at it. It was an evening full of shimmering lights, games, dance and highly excited and energised students. Jannat hayer and Nischay were crowned Miss and Mister Freshers respectively.

On 5th September, 2019 the multi purpose hall at Army Institute of Law was graced with the presence of Dr. Mandeep Mittal, Additional Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority. He delivered a lecture on the functioning of Legal Services Authority and encouraged the students to take part in it as a paralegal volunteers.

On 29th August, 2019 our esteemed guest Prof. (Dr.) Devinder Singh from Department of Laws, Panjab University Chandigarh, shared his thoughts on recent developments around Article 370. It was an informative lecture for pupils as he also elucidated the historical background of Article 370.

Novices Moot Court Competition is an annual event of the Army Institute of Law, Mohali, in which students who join the course of B.A.L.L.B. are introduced to the activity of mooting. Moot is the mock activity on how the legal proceedings take place in the courts. Novices is a beginners's guide for the First year's students to make them learn formal legal writing and drafting, to develop good and effective oratory skills and to work as a team in coordination with each other. This year the Competition was held from 19th to 22nd August, 2019. The rounds were nail biting as rigorous questioning was done by the judges. With the end of the final round, the following came out to be the winners - Category Teams Cash Prizes Winners TC 12 - Khushi Singh (1901) & V Prisha (1914) Rs. 2800 Runners-up TC 19 – Rajat Sharma (1965) & Akash A M (1944) Rs. 2200 Best Student ...

On 1st August, 2019 our esteemed guest Dr. Upneet Lalli, Deputy Director, Institution of Correctional Administration Chandigarh, delivered a lecture on the topic "Psychology and Law: An Interface". She discussed the close relationship between psychology and law.   It was an instructive session for students as two distinct disciplines have much in common.

On 18th April, 2019 the finals of the annual Institute Moot Court Competition were conducted in the Multi-Purpose Hall. This year's propostion was framed by Dr. Bajirao Rajwade and Dr. Puja Jaiswal. It was based on criminal law, primarily murder and abetment. The number of teams that participated in the competition were eight in total. The following​ were adjudged as the winners: Best team - Trisha Mukherjee & Gaurav Hooda Runner's up- Aaryan & Sachit Khurana Best advocate- Gaurav Hooda Best memorial- Devyank & Hitika

On the tenth anniversary of the international air law moot competition, the Sarin Foundation joined forces with Army Institute of Law to host the international rounds of the prestigious moot. The competition was held from 5th April, 2019 to 7th April, 2019. Earlier the National rounds (India) of the moot were held at the same venue on 2nd February, 2019. Eighteen teams were shortlisted for the international rounds after clearing the national rounds of their respective countries. Before the competition began the teams and judges were taken to Arga, Uttar Pradesh to visit the Taj Mahal, followed by a dinner at the Dutch Embassy in New Delhi. This year's proposition was about the conflict between two fictitious countries, Akira and Mayur. The conflict was over the use of Akira's airspace and the country's request to Mayur for extradition of two her nationals running a troll factory and manufacturing drones. On 11th April, 2019 the students of AIL hurried to the Multi Purpose Hall for the Talent Hunt competition. The rules of the competition were simple, the participants had to showcase any talent they had, be it singing, dancing, mimicry, acting, etc. All the performers put up exceptional performances that had the audience cheering and amused throughout. The atmosphere was filled with joy and happiness. At the end of the performances, the judges had a tough time deciding the winners. The competition finally concluded with Sonu Parmar from the second year being declared the winner and a team of three comprising of Amrita, Harkirat and Vanshika from the first year adjudged the runners up.

On 14th March, 2019 the multi purpose hall at Army Institute of Law was graced with the presence of Mr. Chitaranjan Aggrawal, an eminent Chartered Accountant. He delivered a lecture to the students with the aim to acquaint them with Anti-Money Laundering legislation in India.  Money Laundering can be defined as "the concealment of the origins of illegally obtained money, typically by means of transfers involving foreign banks or legitimate businesses." Mr. Aggrawal talked about the three stages of money laundering - placement, layering and integration. He then went on to discuss various statutes like FEMA, Prevention of Money Laundering  Act, 2002 as well as provisions in the Indian Penal Code that target the crime of money laundering. It was an informative session that enlightened the students with regard to money laundering - a crime which is on the rise due to recent advances in the economic and technological sectors.

On the 18th, 19th and 20th of January, 2019 the Army Institute of Law, Mohali conducted its annual National Moot Court Competition, Checkmate. This was the 9th edition of the moot court and it saw participation from 26 teams from law schools around the country. This year the proposition for Checkmate dealt with a naval dispute between two nations, which caused certain aspersions being cast upon the integrity of a senior naval officer. The questions of law pertained to the Naval Act, 1957 and Constitution of India.  This year’s proposition was drafted by Gurnoor Singh Sandhu (5 th  year) and Adhiraj Bhandari (5 th  year) who were both felicitated for the same. AIL organised its annual Alumni Meet on the 24 th   November 2018.  The alumni meet is conducted every year in order to reconnect with the Alumni and celebrate their success and various achievements.   A special welcome was extended to the Alumnis, followed by a cultural extravagance put up by the students, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.

AIL’s 7 th  Annual Convocation was held on Saturday, 24 th  November 2018. The venue was inside the campus in Mohali at the newly unveiled Sports Complex of 1.44 acres. The esteemed Guests of Honour for the Convocation were Hon’ble Mr Justice A B Chaudhari, Judge,  Punjab & Haryana High Court; Lt Gen Surinder Singh, AVSM, VSM, ADC, GOC-IN-C, Western Command  & Patron-In-Chief, AIL; Prof  (Dr) B S Ghuman Vice Chancellor  Punjabi University, Patiala and Maj Gen M L Aswal, MG AOC, Western Command  & Chairman, AIL.  The Convocation began with a majestic and grand procession of Bagpipers that welcomed the esteemed guests. This was followed by the National Anthem. D egrees were awarded to the students of B.A.LL.B. of batches 2012-17, 2013-18 and LL.M.2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-2017.
